There's no place like home for Highlands, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Golden Sierra Grizzlies an 18-0 shutout on Friday. The Scots have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Grizzlies, too.

It was another big night for Walter Lewis, who rushed for 139 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries, and also threw for 102 yards and a touchdown. His longest rush was for an impressive 63 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Najee Walker got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Highlands was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 237 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Golden Sierra only rushed for 117.

Highlands pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Golden Sierra, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Highlands wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 41-15 defeat against Lindhurst on the 11th. Golden Sierra has also already played their next matchup, a 49-14 win against Vacaville Christian on the 11th.
