Recap: Burroughs Bears vs. Serra Cavaliers
The Burroughs Bears put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down Serra 58-39. Winning is a bit easier when you work as a team to rack up nine more assists than your opponent, as Burroughs did.
Among those leading the charge was Mariam Fahs, who scored 18 points along with 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Elizabeth Amoroso, who scored 11 points along with 5 steals.
Despite the defeat, Serra saw an underclassman step up: Kaicia Snelson scored 19 points. The matchup was Snelson's third in a row with at least ten points. Jadah Foster was another key contributor, scoring 7 points.
Burroughs' win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Serra, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Burroughs will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Wiseburn- Da Vinci at 10:30 a.m. on November 25th. Wiseburn- Da Vinci is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Serra, they will square off against Oaks Christian at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
