Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Northside

Northside entered their tilt with Warner Robins on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Demons a 6-0 shutout. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Taylor Hall made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Jeremiah Rozier was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Caden Nelson, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Northside's record now sits at 4-2. As for Warner Robins, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northside will host Bradwell Institute at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 17.75 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Warner Robins, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Central Fellowship Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
