Tinnley Pidgeon and Michaela Ellsmore secure win for Ferndale

Recap: Ferndale Wildcats vs. Fortuna Huskies
The Ferndale Wildcats entered their tilt with the Fortuna Huskies with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Ferndale came out on top against Fortuna by a score of 40-31 on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Ferndale also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Ferndale was led to victory by Tinnley Pidgeon and Michaela Ellsmore. Pidgeon scored eight points, while Ellsmore scored ten points.
Ferndale's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Fortuna, their loss dropped their record down to 9-4.
Ferndale will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Laytonville at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024. Fortuna is on the road again on Thursday and play against Clear Lake at 9:30 a.m. on December 28th. Clear Lake will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 751st, while Fortuna is ranked 274th).
