Softball Recap: Pataula Charter Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Furlow Charter School last Wednesday, Pataula Charter Academy came back down to earth. The Panthers came up short against the Pelham Hornets on Monday, falling 9-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Panthers have suffered against the Hornets since September 13, 2019.

Zyion Clark made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Pataula Charter Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5-1. As for Pelham, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Looking ahead, Pataula Charter Academy will welcome Marion County at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Pelham, they will head out to face off against Randolph-Clay at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
