Augusta entered their tilt with Colfax on Tuesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 9-8 W against the Vikings.

Rilee Bethke was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one double. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Faith Bergman also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Augusta kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive contests.

Augusta's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Colfax, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-3 record.

Augusta didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Melrose-Mindoro on the 30th. As for Colfax, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 15-0 victory against Glenwood City on the 30th.
