Soccer Recap: Central Valley Takes a Loss

Central Valley managed to keep up with Lassen until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Central Valley Falcons came up short against the Lassen Grizzlies, falling 5-1. The Falcons were probably out for revenge after losing 9-0 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Central Valley was without their leading scorer, Jasmine Kennedy, in Tuesday's contest. With Kennedy sitting this one out, Izzy Kaiser-DeAnda got some extra time on the pitch (80 vs. her season average of 60).

Central Valley has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Lassen, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-6.

Central Valley wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Anderson on the 23rd. Lassen has also already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against West Valley on the 23rd.
