Softball Recap: Polson Wins Going Away Against Libby

Polson won the last time they faced Libby and things went their way on Saturday too. The Pirates put the hurt on the Loggers with a sharp 8-2 victory. Considering the Pirates have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Samantha Rensvold made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Rensvold was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season.

In other batting news, Olivia Jore was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Jaja Nichols was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

Polson's record is now 7-2-1. As for Libby, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-6.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Polson will take on rival Columbia Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Libby is set to square off against their familiar foe Browning at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
