Baseball Recap: Johnson Comes Up Short

Johnson extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 30 on Wednesday, dropping them down to 0-4. They lost 19-0 to the East Hall Vikings. The Knights were not able to make up for their loss to the Vikings from their previous meeting back in February of 2025.

As for East Hall, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-3. With that victory, they brought their scoring average up to 7.4 runs per game.

For East Hall's part, Jackson Bambarger was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Bambarger also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because East Hall is 3-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 1-2 otherwise. Bambarger was also solid in the batter's box, earning two runs and two stolen bases.

In other batting news, East Hall got a massive performance out of Jamyus Demory, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. Nate Beasley was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run.

While Johnson had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
