Basketball Recap: Manheim Township Extends Winning Streak to Four

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Manheim Township). They put the hurt on the Northeastern Bobcats with a sharp 49-27 victory on Wednesday. Given the Blue Streaks' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 65th, while the Bobcats are ranked 332nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Several Bobcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nevaeh Koller, who posted eight points. Lauralye Kennedy was another key player, putting up 11 points.

The win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.8 points per game. As for Northeastern, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Manheim Township wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 27-17 victory against Penn Manor on the 13th. Northeastern has also already played their next game, a 40-38 loss against William Penn on the 13th.
