The team can thank Dresselhaus for the heroic effort on defense: he. Trinity better keep an eye on Leo Martinez. He was instrumental in Mt. Shasta's win, rushing for 65 yards and one score. Martinez showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 62 yards.
Mt. Shasta's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Caleb Sheets, Benedict Gazave, and Trevor Lanier, who each picked up one sack apiece. Sheets was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making ten total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Mt. Shasta's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Trinity, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.
Trinity beat Mt. Shasta 22-14 when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Will the Wolves repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
