Soccer Recap: Thursday's Victory Is Centennial's Sixth in Last Seven Outings

Centennial barely beat Las Cruces the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Hawks' defense stepped up to hand the Bulldawgs a 4-0 shutout on Thursday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Centennial's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Centennial is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those seven matches. As for Las Cruces, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13-1 record this season.
