Soccer Game Preview: Centennial vs. Organ Mountain + Official Tickets

The Centennial Hawks will take on the Organ Mountain Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Centennial's last five matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Centennial is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of New Mexico's top teams: Gadsden, who was ranked fifth at the time (Centennial was ranked 16th). The Hawks fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. Centennial's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Organ Mountain kept a clean sheet against Las Cruces on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Bulldawgs 1-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Organ Mountain were the better team in the second half.

Organ Mountain has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 48 goals over those 13 contests. As for Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to 11-5-2.

Centennial came out on top in a nail-biter against Organ Mountain in their previous meeting on October 2nd, sneaking past 1-0. Will the Hawks repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
