Baseball Recap: Alexander Comes Up Short

Alexander suffered their biggest loss since March 3rd on Wednesday. They came up short against the South Paulding Spartans, falling 12-4. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Jessie Williams was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles and two RBI.

Alexander's record is now 8-14. As for South Paulding, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season.

While Alexander had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:55 p.m. on Friday.
