Basketball Recap: Lone Pine Comes Up Short

Lone Pine is still winless after their match against Trona on Friday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 32-29 heartbreaker at the hands of the Trona Tornadoes. One positive for the Golden Eagles, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Lone Pine's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Trona, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Lee Vining the next time they take the court. Trona will head out to face Lee Vining at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Lone Pine will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
