Atkinson County is a perfect 5-0 against Turner County since February of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Atkinson County Rebels will face off against the Turner County Titans at 5:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Atkinson County has six straight wins, Turner County has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Turner County better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Atkinson County really gets things going. Atkinson County blew past Echols County 5-0 on Tuesday. Given the Rebels' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 113th, while the Wildcats are ranked 227th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Atkinson County hit Echols County with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Rodrigo Trejo-Galarza (2), Rigoberto Sanchez, Cesar Rodriguez, and Carlos Otero.

Meanwhile, Turner County came up short against Lanier County on Tuesday and fell 3-1.

Atkinson County pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those three matchups. As for Turner County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Everything went Atkinson County's way against Turner County when the teams last played back in February, as Atkinson County made off with a 10-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Atkinson County since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
