Softball Recap: Regis Jesuit Comes Up Short

Regis Jesuit made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Legend, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Raiders fell just short of the Titans by a score of 15-13 on Friday.

Caitlin Fairchild made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Alexis Colvin, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Regis Jesuit has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Legend, their victory bumped their record up to 16-5.

Regis Jesuit didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 16-6 win against Douglas County on the 6th. As for Legend, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 17-0 victory against Castle View on the 6th.
