Softball Recap: Howe Has No Trouble Against Talihina

Howe barely beat Talihina the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lions were the clear victors by a 15-3 margin over the Golden Tigers on Tuesday. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by seven runs or more this season.

Howe is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games. As for Talihina, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Howe will face off against Panama at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Lions 2.8, the Razorbacks 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Talihina, they will venture away from home to take on Vian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
