Basketball Recap: Kaiser's Win Ends Eight-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Kaiser played in conference for the first time on Wednesday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They managed a 37-33 win over the San Gorgonio Spartans. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cats.

Several Spartans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jazmin Benson, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards. Benson has been hot for a while, having also posted three or more steals the last 18 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Star Ramos, who posted eight points and seven steals.

Kaiser's victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-14. As for San Gorgonio, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-17.

Kaiser will have a chance to go back-to-back against San Gorgonio: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
