Soccer Game Preview: Tracy vs. Lincoln

The Tracy Bulldogs will head out on the road to square off against the Lincoln Trojans at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Tracy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.1 goals per game this season.

Lincoln better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Tracy's game on Friday is any indication, that's when Tracy really gets things going. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over Kimball. The victory continues a trend for Tracy in their matchups with Kimball: they've now won five in a row.

Tracy's offense was hitting Kimball from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Alysabeth Saenz led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Lincoln was not quite St. Mary's equal in the second half on Friday. They fell 2-0 to the Rams. Having soared to a lofty ten goals in the game before, Lincoln's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Tracy's win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Lincoln, their defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-4-2.

Tracy skirted past Lincoln 1-0 in their previous matchup back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
