Baseball Recap: Kennesaw Mountain Takes a Loss

Kennesaw Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 13-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Paulding Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 last Friday.

John Trollinger made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-4. George Lutz was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Kennesaw Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 13-9. As for South Paulding, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 19-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Kennesaw Mountain is set to face off against their familiar foe New Manchester at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, South Paulding will challenge rival Alexander at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
