Bessemer City's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chenyis Wilson-Fuller led the charge by rushing for 71 yards and a pair of scores, while also catching one touchdown. Teldrin Turner was another key rusher, rushing for 55 yards and a pair of TDs.

Bessemer City better keep an eye on Mayson Elam. He was instrumental in Northridge's win, throwing for 101 yards and three touchdowns, while also punching in one score on the ground. Elam has become a key player for the Jaguars: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least three passing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise. Magnus Greimel helped Elam out on the ground, rushing for 112 yards on only 15 carries.
One reason for the win was Northridge's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks.
