Baseball Recap: Field's Loss Ends 11-Game Winning Streak at Home

Field dropped to 17-5 on Tuesday, ending the team's 11-game streak of wins at home. They fell 8-5 to the Revere Minutemen. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Minutemen apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

As for Revere, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-12 record this season. With that win, they brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

For Revere's part, Colin Fashinpaur tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Those eight strikeouts gave Fashinpaur a new career-high.

Field and Revere are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Falcons will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Villa Angela-St. Joseph at 5:00 p.m. The Vikings have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.21 runs per game on average), something Field will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Revere, they will host Ellet at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Minutemen's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Orangement have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season.
