Having soared to a lofty ten goals in the game before, the Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.

Newark Memorial's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-3-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those three contests. As for American, they moved to 7-6-1 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
