It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Crisp County ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hawkinsville Red Devils, sneaking past 6-4. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Red Devils, too.

Crisp County's win bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Hawkinsville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-19 record this season.
