Baseball Game Preview: Flowery Branch Falcons vs. Eastside Eagles

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when Flowery Branch Falcons challenge Eastside Eagles at 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Flowery Branch has three straight victories, Eastside has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, Flowery Branch got the win against Madison County by a conclusive 13-3. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won six games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Eastside came up short against East Forsyth on Friday, falling 8-2.

Eastside saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chase Jordan, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Flowery Branch's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-6. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Eastside, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-14.

Flowery Branch couldn't quite get it done against Eastside when the teams last played back in March of 2024 as they fell 5-2. Can Flowery Branch avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
