After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Central Christian, Covington Academy was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 7-2 win over the Young Americans Christian Eagles. That five run margin sets a new team best for the Bulldogs this season.

Grayson Ellis and Hunter Burnette did most of the damage at the plate: Ellis scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Burnette scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. That's the most stolen bases Burnette has posted since back in February. Tyler Henderson was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-4.

Covington Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Young Americans Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Covington Academy will take on CrossPointe Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
