Western Branch came into Friday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 35-28 win over the Great Bridge Wildcats on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Bruins, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was William Englert, who threw for 217 yards and a pair of TDs, and also punched in one score on the ground. 92 of Englert's passing yards were hauled in by Logan Dessart.
