Rock Creek extended their postseason success on Friday against Hesston. They secured a 17-13 W over the Swathers. The Mustangs' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Rock Creek's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jacob Perkins, who picked up 116 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Perkins' longest reception was for an incredible 73 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Tate Smith, who threw for 166 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 81% of his passes.

Another reason for the win was Rock Creek's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks. Hesston's QB won't forget Wade Rottinghaus anytime soon given he sacked him five times. Rottinghaus has been hot, having also posted five or more total tackles the last six times he's played.

Hesston's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Blayne Wilson, who rushed for 85 yards and one score, and Jerick Humphreys, who rushed for 85 yards and one touchdown.

Rock Creek's victory bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Hesston, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season.

Rock Creek will challenge Cheney on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Mustangs 6.6, the Cardinals 13.6) so any points scored will be well earned. Hesston does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
