Basketball Game Preview: Pomona Catholic Pacers vs. St. Bernard Vikings

Pomona Catholic is on a six-game streak of home losses, St. Bernard a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Tuesday. The Pomona Catholic Pacers will host the St. Bernard Vikings at 6:00 p.m. Neither of these teams found much success offensively their last time out, scoring well below their season average.

Pomona Catholic is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against St. Genevieve on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Pomona Catholic came up short against St. Genevieve, falling 50-24. The Pacers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-8.

Meanwhile, St. Bernard lost to Mary Star of the Sea at home by a 32-16 margin on Saturday.

Haiden Alexander was St. Bernard's leading scorer, having posted six points.

St. Bernard's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Pomona Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-15.
