East Paulding extended their postseason success on Monday against Newnan. They blew past the Cougars 18-5. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won 12 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Emma Hernandez made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with six RBI, three runs, and one double. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ella Heal, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in September.
