Basketball Recap: Kasey Weibley's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Upper Dauphin Area over Pequea Valley

Upper Dauphin Area lost against Pequea Valley back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Upper Dauphin Area Trojans took a 44-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pequea Valley Braves.

Upper Dauphin Area's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kasey Weibley, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine boards. What's more, Weibley also racked up two blocks, the most she's had since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Mazie Bingaman, who posted eight points and nine rebounds.

Upper Dauphin Area's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Pequea Valley, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.

The future could be bright for both Upper Dauphin Area and Pequea Valley: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Upper Dauphin Area will look to extend Line Mountain's three-game losing streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Similarly, Pequea Valley will try to hand Lancaster Country Day their fourth-straight defeat when the two meet at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
