Baseball Preview: Central Rockets vs. Jacobs Eagles

The Central Rockets will take on the Jacobs Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Wednesday, Central needed a bit of extra time to put away Wauconda. They had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 9-8. That's two games straight that the Rockets have won by just one run.

Connor Sreckov made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with four RBI, one run, and one double.
