Soccer Recap: West Valley Comes Up Short

If West Valley was feeling good fresh off their 6-0 takedown of Durham last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The West Valley Eagles might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Shasta Wolves an easy 3-0 win. The Eagles have struggled against Wolves recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

West Valley now has a losing record at 3-4-1. As for Shasta, they now have a winning record of 4-3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Valley will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Orland at 3:15 p.m. on January 9, 2025. Shasta also won't see the pitch for a while: their next matchup is against Pleasant Valley at 7:00 p.m. on January 15, 2025.
