After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Colusa, East Nicolaus was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They managed a 52-48 win over the Willows Honkers. The victory continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Honkers: they've now won nine in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead East Nicolaus to victory, but perhaps none more so than Makinze Massey, who posted 22 points. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Hall, who put up 17 points.

When it comes to explaining why Willows lost, don't look at Karla DiMaggio. Despite the final result, she had 26 points. Emily Neuhauer was another key player, putting up seven points.

East Nicolaus' record now sits at 14-11. As for Willows, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season.
