Basketball Recap: Windber Comes Up Short

After flying high against Rockwood last Friday, Windber came back down to earth. The Windber Ramblers were dealt a 65-20 loss at the hands of the Berlin Brothersvalley Mountaineers on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Ramblers in their matchups with the Mountaineers: they've now lost five in a row.

Kaylie Gaye was Windber's leading scorer, having posted eight points.

Windber's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-9. As for Berlin Brothersvalley, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-2.

When Windber and Berlin Brothersvalley next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Windber will try to stop Blacklick Valley's ten-game winning streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Similarly, Berlin Brothersvalley will face off against Southern and their nine-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
