Softball Recap: Novinger Wildcats vs. Atlanta Hornets
Novinger took an 11-run defeat the last time they faced off against Atlanta, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wildcats skirted past the Hornets 15-14. The high-scoring effort was just what the Wildcats needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Mikayla McKim spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and 11 unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 14 Ks. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 6.7 strikeouts per game.
