Emilee Staats leads a balanced attack to beat Marion Center

The Marion Center Stingers typically have all the answers at home, but on Friday the River Valley Panthers proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 34-26 victory over the Stingers. That's another feather in the cap for River Valley, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

River Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Emilee Staats, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Persichetti, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and three steals.

River Valley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. As for Marion Center, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-5.

River Valley will head out on the road to challenge Portage at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. River Valley is coming into the contest with six straight wins on the road, so Portage is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum. Marion Center does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
