Softball Game Preview: Loganville Christian Academy Lions vs. Tattnall Square Academy Trojans

For the second straight game, Loganville Christian Academy will face off against Tattnall Square Academy. The Lions will face off against the Trojans at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Tattnall Square Academy hit Loganville Christian Academy with a six-run second inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Lions took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Tattnall Square Academy's part, Callie Still spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits and racked up 13 Ks. Still has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Tattnall Square Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryton Tarver, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. That's the most hits Tarver has posted since back in August. Carsyn Atwater was another, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Tattnall Square Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Loganville Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 13-9.
