Baseball Recap: Cornerstone Prep Academy Comes Up Short

Cornerstone Prep Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 15-3 to The King's Academy Knights. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 10-0 to the Knights when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Isaiah Stahl made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicholas Squires, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2.

Cornerstone Prep Academy's record now sits at 2-7. As for The King's Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Cornerstone Prep Academy will face off against Harvester Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Harvester Christian Academy will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Cornerstone Prep Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for The King's Academy, they will challenge Scholars Guild Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The King's Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.
