Basketball Recap: Garces Memorial Comes Up Short

Garces Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 67-21 loss at the hands of the Lancaster Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1062nd, while the Eagles are ranked 189th).

Garces Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Lancaster, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-2.

Garces Memorial won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Bakersfield at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lancaster, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Antelope Valley at 5:00 p.m. on January 14th.
