Baseball Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short

Centennial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cambridge Bears. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Knights have suffered since February 25th.

Centennial saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Hickox, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Lance Isaacs was another, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 6-22. As for Cambridge, their win bumped their record up to 15-12-1.

While Centennial had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
