Recap: Santa Paula Cardinals vs. Hueneme Vikings
In what's become a running theme this season, the Santa Paula Cardinals gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Hueneme 70-12 at home. Winning may never get old, but Santa Paula sure is getting used to it with their ninth in a row.
Santa Paula's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alyse Ramirez led the charge by scoring 14 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ramirez has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aryanna Lopez, who scored 16 points.
Santa Paula pushed their record up to 19-8 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Hueneme, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.
Santa Paula does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hueneme also has no future games currently scheduled.
