Basketball Recap: Monache Extends Winning Streak to Nine

With a playoff win on the line, Monache rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They blew past the Tehachapi Warriors 58-25. The Marauders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matchups by 32 points or more this season.

Monache's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Milly Rojas, who went 6-for-13 to rack up 17 points and five boards. Rojas' evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. London Haynes was another key player, putting up eight points along with ten rebounds and six assists.

Monache was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tehachapi only four assists.

When it comes to explaining why Tehachapi lost, don't look at Riley Walden. Despite the final result, she went 7-for-14 en route to 18 points. What's more, Walden also posted a 43% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in December of 2024.

The win was the ninth in a row for Monache, bringing their record for this year to 22-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.1 points over those games. As for Tehachapi, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-5.

Monache didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-44 victory against Centennial on the 20th. Tehachapi does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
