Baseball Game Preview: St. Andrew's Lions vs. Westminster Schools of Augusta Wildcats

St. Andrew is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as St. Andrew's Lions duke it out with Westminster Schools of Augusta Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. They have now lost nine straight dating back to last season, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 9.

St. Andrew's lost 16-1 to Vidalia Heritage Academy on Saturday. That's two games in a row now that the Lions have lost by exactly 15 runs.

Meanwhile, Westminster Schools of Augusta lost a heartbreaker to Lincoln County when they met back in March of 2023, and they left with a heavy heart again on Tuesday. Westminster Schools of Augusta fell just short of Lincoln County by a score of 6-4. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Red Devils recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Ben Baker was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February of 2024.

Westminster Schools of Augusta's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for St. Andrew's, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
