Basketball Game Preview: Savanna Rebels vs. Magnolia Sentinels

Savanna and Magnolia are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Savanna Rebels will venture away from home to square off against the Magnolia Sentinels at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Savanna has three straight wins, Magnolia has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Savanna will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating Anaheim, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Savanna strolled past Anaheim with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 42-24.

Meanwhile, Magnolia took a blow against Loara on Friday, falling 59-28. The match marked the Sentinels' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Savanna has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for Magnolia, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.

Savanna strolled past Magnolia when the teams last played back in January by a score of 52-35. The rematch might be a little tougher for Savanna since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
