Recap: Millville Quakers vs. Montgomery Red Raiders
The Millville Quakers lost to the Montgomery Red Raiders last Monday, but the Millville Quakers didn't allow the Montgomery Red Raiders the same satisfaction on Saturday. Millville walked away with a 45-38 win over Montgomery.
Larissa Evans was her usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with six rebounds and five steals. That makes it 14 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Millville's points. Abby Kakaley was another key contributor, scoring four points along with six steals and three blocks.
The win got Millville back to even at 7-7. As for Montgomery, they bumped their record down to 4-9 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Millville will take on South Williamsport at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. South Williamsport is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Montgomery, they will head out on the road to face off against Sullivan County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sullivan County is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
