Tallulah Falls came tearing into Friday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Lakeview Academy Lions. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 10-0 win last Thursday.

Diego Gonzalez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

In other pitching news, Drew Barron looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single walk in five consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, Wyatt Franks was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). William Nesmith also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Tallulah Falls kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 3.6 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 10.2.

Tallulah Falls pushed their record up to 8-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Lakeview Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-6.
