Volleyball Recap: Thoreau Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It was a Battle of the Birds when Thoreau took on Navajo Prep on Thursday. The Hawks took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on October 2nd.

Colleen Moses-Perry paced Thoreau's offense, picking up 17 kills. Moses-Perry got some help from Keira Begay and her 20 assists. Finally, Moses-Perry was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high seven blocks.

Thoreau has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Navajo Prep, their win bumped their record up to 5-13.

Thoreau has already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Tohatchi on the 25th. As for Navajo Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Zuni on the 25th.
