Soccer Game Preview: Rio Americano vs. Inderkum

The Rio Americano Raiders will venture away from home to face off against the Inderkum Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Rio Americano's last four matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

If Rio Americano beats Inderkum with two goals on Thursday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. Rio Americano sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Ponderosa on Tuesday. That's two games straight that the Raiders have won by just one goal.

Sadie Burns and Tristan Chaussee scored both of Rio Americano's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Meanwhile, Inderkum hasn't lost a match since December 19, 2024, a trend which continued in their latest game on Tuesday. They and Woodcreek finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw. The Tigers' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Rio Americano has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3-2 record this season. With that draw, Inderkum's record moves to 14-1-2.
